Olivier

Blais

Assistant Director

Olivier (He/Him) is an actor, improviser and aspiring director and writer who is absolutely thrilled to be part of this unique endeavor. He is a co-founder of the only bilingual theatre company in Halifax, the Theatre DesAssimilés. He has appeared in the company’s productions of Les Chaises and Les Mangeurs d’ail and the Nocturne performance Council of Absurd Urbanisation, as well as several improv shows. In 2017, he was a member of the Nova Scotia Improv team at the Jeux de la Francophonie, a national French-speaking competition. Contrary to popular belief, Olivier can and does work in English. However, he gets tongue-tied in both languages. Currently a third-year acting student, he’s grateful for the opportunity to work on the show (and to practice his English) and he thanks the cast and crew for their generosity and wisdom.

This show has been created in Mi'kma'ki, Anishinabek, and the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut'ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations and the Métis Nation (Region 3) Likewise, the platforms we use are based in Indigenous lands and benefit from the riches of these lands. The Zoom's headquarters are located on the land of the Ohlone, and the Vimeo's headquarters are located on the land of the Munsee Lenape.
