Taryn Hanrahan

Taryn Hanrahan (She/her) is a theatre creator, actor, and improviser based in K’jipuktuk (Halifax), and currently in the third year of the Acting program at the Fountain School of Performing Arts (FSPA). She is the 2020 co-recipient of the Joplin Award for International Theatre Study and most recently, the 2020 co-recipient of The Andrew and David Stitt Memorial Prize. As a graduate from J.L. Ilsley, Taryn’s interest is in creating art to reflect the communities she’s grown up in and bringing more art opportunities to them. This is Taryn’s first FSPA credit. Other credits include WTF Nights (Mousetrap Comedy), 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche (DTS), Arcadia (DTS) The Miracle Worker (Neptune Theatre). So many thanks to the Acting faculty for their support throughout this production.

This show has been created in Mi'kma'ki, Anishinabek, and the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut'ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations and the Métis Nation (Region 3) Likewise, the platforms we use are based in Indigenous lands and benefit from the riches of these lands. The Zoom's headquarters are located on the land of the Ohlone, and the Vimeo's headquarters are located on the land of the Munsee Lenape.
